I was fumbling through Box Office magazine today trying to kill some time and noticed on page 47 of the March 2000 issue the following in regards to a story on union projectionists in Canada.Quote:
Asked about reported problems with projecting films, especially "Magnolia," which is being shown by both Famous Players and Cineplex, Marci Davies [Cineplex Odeon's senior vice president of marketing] cited the film's three-hour length. "It puts tremendous pressure on the bulbs; it has nothing to do with the capacity of people operating the film."
What? Senior vice president of marketing huh? Think this senior VP actually said this or Box Office magazine screwed up the quote?

Does not take long to thumb through a Box Office Mag these days thats for sure, but I read that too a few days ago and got a good laugh. I wouldn't put it past some management buffoon to say that though. It really think its got to be a typo or misquote........Hey Gord, if you are out there can you get this statement clarified for us?????
