I have been running projectors for about 10 years now and have been confronted by a film production company about running dailies for them after i ran a preview for them. I have never done freelance work before and am trying to figure out what the standard hourly rate for that would be. I am in Tennessee and if there is anyone who has done freelance dailies before i would like to hear from you. Thanks!

Generally, your regular wage rate is sufficient. However, if you don't own the
theatre or the quipment, you may want to inquire with your boss as to how much to charge per/hour for rental of the theatre.
(I have seen from $25 -$50 / hr. normal)
Projectionist would run $10-$15 / Hr. if running MOS (without sound) or Married Optical prints (Sound on same film)
If you are running dual film, (Seperate picture & sound) The wage runs about double.
And I would advise an assistant to help with
threading. Good luck!

I charge $55.00 ca per hour plus the equipment rental ie projector dubber etc

Depending on the amount of work I go either hourly or one flat fee and a credit in the final release print... Its been a while since I had done dailies (the film I had last done still hasnt been released, and it was shot almost 2 years ago)
