I have finally gotten this new hack running here at Film-Tech. Conversion to any of the following languages:
- Spanish
- French
- German
- Italian
- Portugese
can now be done simply by clicking on the translator at the bottom of each forum screen. Once this is done on one thread, surfing the forum will continue to be translated for our overseas film handlers.

I really like how your name is "Alfilerillo Molinero" in Spanish! Of course, it won't work very well for the many many people on this forum who can't spell to save their lives. You all know who you are
Or then again, probably not.

Hmmm. "Joe Redifer" doesn't convert to ANY other language! I'll guess I'll just have to stick with "Massa' Redifer" from the jive version of Film-Tech.

Nice idea, Brad. I had fun reading to the translated German pages. Sometimes it is so funny, that we couldn't stop laughing.
Seriously, it's a very good idea; but also showing the limits of computer based translation systems on technical business.
It will be of great help to those not too familiar with English, and living abroad. For professional releases (like our Tech manuals) I will still rely on my skills, even though it is quite a task to translate a 150 page quick starter's guide with included tech notes.
