I have been checking the motor brushes on the Strong Alpha platters at a theater we recently took over and can't figure out how to remove them. I don't know if I detach the wire connected to the brush at the brush or where the wire terminates. The manuals I have found are no help. We have one platter that doesn't work and another that needs the brushes replaced like 3 months ago and want to swap the brushes right away. PLEASE HELP!

The little brass tab that the wire attaches to at the brush fits inside the brush holder. It's a pressure fit. Pry it out CAREFULLY. It wedges inside the new one like a liner.
Once the old brushes are out, CLEAN the commutator with some crocus cloth. Also it's a good idea to get a can of air and blow out all the carbon dust inside the motor.
