I really agree with Joe's review of the DTS situation. But I also think the basic idea of double system for everyday use in movie theater blows in itself! I am really getting tired of fixing these things and we have also had to replace several of the new 16X Teac drives as well. Fortunately they are easier to find locally. I wonder if the 32X will be more reliable in this application? Again it just demonstrates the pain in the A!# that double system usually is. Most of my customers are indies and for a couple of them it has become very annoying, and expensive. And then there is the time code firmware upgrade. Found another one of those that had never been done last Friday and the subwoofer level to reset, etc. We've rebuilt some units here 3 times, first with more new Toshiba drives before DTS was supplying the Teac kit. Personally, I'll stick with SRD.
