So, let me see if I can summarize that thread and save anyone the trouble of reading almost 100 posts.

1. Some people say they want a demonstration to prove that the code is real and that it works. They claim they don't need to know how it works, just that it works.

2. The same people are offering theories on how it might work, possibly begging for clues from those who swear it's real and that it works.

3. Those who swear it's real won't give any specifics about how it works. They also refuse to be involved in any demonstration and claim you'd have to contact the MPAA to make that happen.

4. Everyone's too chicken to contact the MPAA to ask for a demonstration.

5. People are still insisting that the CAP code is just a hoax.

THERE. Did I cover it all? How many more posts will there be re-stating one or all of the things I just wrote?

I was going to say something like that...but i was afraid that in his crusade to figure this thing out, Brad would hunt me down and force me to find the CAP code in all of our prints. Scary stuff, when you think about it.

To put an end to all of this posting, I am writing the MPAA tomorrow (or today I should say) to see if they could perform a little test to prove that it does exist and to scare off potential pirates (not that it would phase pirates, they find ways around things.) Hopefully they will give me a worthwile reply.

I'm still trying to figure out why everyone cares so much about this subject-I know I have no plans of bootlegging any of my prints, and I'm sure none of you do either.
However, the thread is amusing to read the cat-and-mouse game that Brad is playing with John. BUT...
I can't read the thread anymore-the page is too big for WebTV. It seems as though once a thread bursts into 'flames', it's too much information for the only internet access this theater manager can afford.

Be sure and let us know what the MPAA says. However, the odds that they do not already know of this thread is incredible and no one from the MPAA is coming forth to offer such a demo. I doubt you will even get a response.

(Be careful, Mr. Vee has already bound and gagged John once! )

The only thing I would add is that "they" really is pural, since I also think the CAP code is real.

Glad to hear Amelia is still kickin'. She hasn't been seen much since that operation in the South Pacific back in '37. Hope you gave her my regards.

I wish "swivel hips" would get a new Kodak digital camera. I'm tired of having to arrange to get Picture CD's from his old Brownie 127 film so he can use Adobe PhotoShop to modify them before he puts them up on his website.

Speaking of Grassy Knolls, Kodak offered me the assignment of analyzing the Zapruder film, but I was too busy with my work helping projectionists. So I asked my good friend and mentor Rollie Zavada (who retired from Kodak) to do it as a consultant to Kodak and the NARA. Rollie's excellent report is on the internet:
