NATPE has a scholarship program for theatre employees in California for post-secondary or vocational education.

One $5,000 scholarship and ten $2,500 scholarships will be awarded.

Here are the rules (paraphrased):

*Applicants must have been and currently be employed at the field level in a California or Nevada theatre between 6-1-99 and 6-1-00. Scholarships are open to NATO of CA or NV member theatres only.

*Scholarships are merit based, with a minimum 2.8 GPA requirement during the year of eligibility.

*Applicants must be eligible for rehire.

*Prior recipients are eligible.

*NATO of CA/NV reserves the right to publish applicant essays.
