Has anybody else had major problems with there Changeover (Cristie calls them Dowsers) not wanting to stay open or not opening all the way ext. We have 10 of those projector heads and to begin with 4 out of the 10 started to have this kind of problem then MTS came though and tightened them all up and now 7 of 10 are not working correctly.Any Help is appreciated.
And yes I have seen the Tips section on this site with there fix on the problem. It doesnt help.
P.S. Is anybody else getting an error message when you try to do a search in the forum.

When you pull the douser arm up manually, is there any resistance? I'll bet your douser plate has melted and is no longer flat.

When we would pull up on them we would also click the switch on the council to help pull the dowser all the way up. On just one of the projectors it has lots of resistence on it. But the plates are all perfectly flat and the ones that got in the way of the light just got chard black that's all.P.S. We pulled them all out of the projectors were now using the Dowser Handle on the Lamp House to block the light for the starting of our films and then we just let the entire end of the tail show up on the screen. Also is there a way we can get that last cue to turn off the lamp on the projector before the rest of the tail of the film goes through the projector.

If there is resistance, it sounds like the curved pipe is not in alignment. Try reaching your hand in behind the "Christie" face plate and bend it one way or another so there is no drag on the cable.
