I have worked on a digital soundhead 700 becasue it was not reading the print that it was running without poping to F in and out. The scope was reading correctley for the voltage, and the lens was correct. They Put another print in the theater and it did the same then a few day later they put another print in there and it worked great. Could it be maybe that something is getting on the prints like oil and blocking the digital. If anyone has an idea I would appriciate the advice. Have a good day!

Had the print with the good reading been to screens the first two had already played on?Can you see any abrasions common on the first two tracks that are not there on the third? Also, what are the average error rates for the three features?

Download the DRAS10 software from the manuals page here and hook up to the DA20/CP500 with a computer. That makes it much easier to see what's going on. You could've aligned it previously with a stretch of film that was misprinted and this one print that plays could've been accidentally misprinted as well, cancelling out.

I had a similar problem that had plagued me for several months, and after many replacement reels and prints, and hair-pulling, it was dtermined that we had a bad DA20. Swapped the DA20 out and the problem disappeared permanently.Aaron
