This may be a problem with my analog pickup but here is the situation.

During the playing of Duet's and an IMAX trailer when I was actually in the theatre and not hanging out the porthole, I noticed the following.

Playing in Dolby Sr (Mode 5) the VU meter only shows levels in the Right channel and a little in the center and sub. Nothing at all in the left.

Changed to Dolby A (Mode 4) and all channels kicked in. Both in actual sound and display on the meter.

Any ideas what could be the problem.

Equipment:
CP-500
Cat 701 Digital Reader (Reading 8-F)
Christie P35GPS head with Dolby Analog Reader.

Try swapping the 222SR/A card with another processor if one is available...

Take a look at the meters on the nr card
sounds like one channel of the SR section of the nr card has gone south

John politically it would depend on wether it is the left or the right side
