Does anyone else use these? Can you help?
Normally we thread the projectors, select the show we want to run and either press start immediately or set the timer to start later.
Talking to John Wilson the other day he mentioned I could program in advance, well I've followed all of the steps so that the date, session, time and show are entered. Then you press the STORE softkey and can put in more sessions if you want.
Here's the question. How do I actually get it to start? The start time passes and nothing happens. What have I not done.

Here is the response from the designer, Ray Derrick of Panalogic:

The CA2000 must always be put into "Show Ready" mode before it will start,
even when running with pre-programmed session times. This is to prevent the
system starting a show whilst the projectionist is still threading up, or
whatever. If session times have been pre-programmed, you simply press any
one of the ten "Show #" buttons and the system will automatically display
the programmed start time and programmed show number for the next session.There is also an option which automatically puts the system into Show Ready
mode (for the next session) at the end of each session, if this mode of
operation is desired. It can be selected from the main Menu by pressing
Options and then "Show Ready - Auto".

I will try it out tomorrow, I wasn't quite sure what would happen with that auto feature in options so decided against experimenting with it at the time.

I will set it to start at 18.57 and then just watch the clock tick through to 18.59 when I give up and manually press the start button.
BTW we've fixed our cinemaccanica problem, my boss fixed the guide rollers so they dont rotate and it now runs perfect. They still want to buy new gates though, at $1000 each they would be better off buying Film Guard.

Here is the latest response from Ray Derrick of Panalogic:
Maybe you have a very early version of the CA2000 software and it has a bug in the auto session start, although we have never heard of this one. I suggest you contact Panalogic Technical Support at support@panalogic.com and provide us with your CA2000 software version. (The software version is displayed whenever you turn the unit on). We can then check to see if there is some problem in the version you have. If there is a bug we will provide a free update to the latest version. If you also provide your address details we can send you a complimentary user manual as it sounds like you have lost the one that was provided with the product.

The key words here as I have found out are "at the end of each session" you have to actually get through the first session before it will go into Show Ready mode. You can do this by starting normally or programming it and pressing the Show# which corresponds to the first one.
We have the latest software package, and I do have several user manuals but they are a little vague on this point (to me anyway).
