The print that I built up today has a sound track that seems to fade in and fade it. It was extremely noticable on the end of reel 4 where it faded completely clear for a foot. Anyone else have this problem at all?

The Legend of Drunken Master is a rerelease of Drunken Master that was released in 1979. They have redubbed the film and one would not expect the sound problems that you had.The Legend of Drunken Master is a story of a real person who died in 1927 and is concidered something of "Robin Hood" in China.
It is said that this is Jacki Chan's best work. Perhaps it will be better than his last release.

Please post the print information in the "Feature info and trailer attachments" forum. Is there a digital track of any kind on the print?

Motion picture prints are printed from TWO negatives - the picture negative and the sound negative. The sound negative is printed with separately controlled light sources for the analog/DTS, Dolby Digital and SDDS sound tracks.If the analog track "faded completely clear for a foot", it's likely that the printer light source used for this track failed briefly. If you find this during print inspection, ask for a replacement reel immediately.

May I ask, was this defect found near a lab splice?
I have often found such things near lab splices. That's why I'm so adamant about telling people to check their prints and at the VERY LEAST, make sure those splices aren't messed up.
