I would just like to publicly say thank you to John Eickhof. Being new to 35mm and a collector with old equipment, John has spent alot of time with me via email trying to solve my problem. Not only does he own a wealth of knowledge, but he took time out his busy schedule to help me out. So again, I say thank you.

I'd like to second that. John is always helpful, and when you have the good fortune to talk to him on the phone, he always takes the time to be friendly and encouraging.Not to mention the fact that he usually has stuff that nobody else does. And when you're dealing with antique equipment, that's crucial.

AW GEEZ GUYS! THANKS! I guess i just bleed ethyloid! (That's a long gone brand of film mending {splicing} cement for the newbies!) One of these days I will get a transfusion to 'Film Guard' and then join the 21st century!!------------------

A very good and popular cement, until the flammability and shipping regulations got too burdensome.

John, the pad rollers and oil sight glass got my old SH-1000 sound head running like new! Many thanks, and I'll be thinking of you as other things need replaced.
