When I connected the serial cable (straight-through, NOT a null-modem) to the port behind the front panel, the computer would not recognize the processor.
When I connected to the rear port (on the back of the unit) the computer would recognize the processor and everything would seem to be running okay but the moment the "link" was made, the processor started making all kinds of beeping and buzzing noises! It sounded like some kind of wierd video game! The sound could be heard through the booth monitor as well as in the auditorium.
The front panel of the processor would display "REMOTE ACCESS ACTIVATED", just like it's supposed to and all the functions of the program seemed to work OK. Just this strange "video game from hell" sound.
The moment I disconnected the link, the processor would reboot and all would be well again. I did this on three different units, all with the same results.
Anybody hear of this before?
Steve

"Old projectionists never die, they just changeover!"
I have to say that I don't have much experience with it at all, so I can't really say much about it. I do find it hard to "get around" on, though.
What I'm HOPING is that after I get the hang of it, I'll be able to make it work better. I wish I could get the program to work. It'd be MUCH easier to work on.
Right now, I'd have to just say, "The jury is still out" on this one.
