Now that Electrohome which makes monitors for
coin op video games is part of Christie,
I wonder if you will find Christie monitors in new coin op video games.

IMHO, there is a real opportunity for Digital Cinema technology (e.g., DLP or D-ILA projectors) for use in video game displays and interactive simulators. Instead of looking at a small CRT display, the player(s) could be immersed in a fairly large CGI image.------------------

Electrohome monitors for coin op video games had flybacks that were always EXPLODING. I know because I have repaired over 300 of them! 
Electrohome monitors had the highest catastrophic failure rate. Flybacks, Horizontal output transistors, capacitors, etc. sometimes all failing at the same time. When they are working they do have a great picture on them, though.

Ack! I didn't realize that videogames used Electrohome monitors. Those monitors do seem to be pretty common in airports, though. Usually the focus is horribly misadjusted, but I'm more inclined to attribute that to poor maintenance on the part of the airports rather than to poor quality of manufacture. Let's just hope that the people who maintain the monitors aren't the same people who maintain 747s...

Mark:That's right. Electrohome video game monitors are high maintenance units so they should fit right in with Christie perfectly.
