I have inherited an EX9000 projector. Most seems to be well with it, except that the lamp won't work. Doe's anyone have some first hand knowledge or a schematic on this, EIKI does not. I am having trouble determining what parts are doing what in that pedestal. I would rather not dissect it too badly. Thanks

Eiki doesn't have a service manual on the EX-9000? I find that hard to believe. Did you talk to Paul Cuculic (714-457-0200) in their tech support dept? The EX-6000 service manual covers both models and has the EX-9000 schematics in the back of it. You want Eiki service manual part number 4408 which should be in stock. Eiki only sells thru authorized dealers. Just call and ask who the nearest dealer is to you.

Ken, Thank You. I will cal and get the right manual.

Get the service manual. The regular EX-6000/9000 manual is really sparse and doesn't say much more than how to thread the machine and how to change the bulbs.

The earlier EX-9000 didn't have the most reliable relay board, so if the lamp doesn't even strike that would be the first place I'd look after checking the obvious lamphouse-related items (door interlock, caps, diodes).
