Greetings everyone, I'm getting ready to hook up a Kelmar stereo cell in my Simplex SH1000. I don't see a reference to the connection diagram in the "manuals" section. Looks like a piece of cake: Three wires - black, Green, and red. My guess is the black is common between the two cells. Can someone identify exacly which wire is which for me? Since the wires are fairy short, I thought I'd mount a terminal strip at the base of the pick-up casting, put the 680 ohm loading resistors right there and then go directly to shielded cable at that point. Seem reasonable? Thanks, Jeff

well if you follow the rule that Dolby established the wireing is like this. Black is common, Red is left, so green must be right.

Yes, Jeff. And, remember - don't ground the shield on the solar cell side. Also it would be good to remember that if you are using a stereo cinema processor, the loading resistors will probably not be necessary.

and use three conductor cable with a shield, or a pair of 2-conductor shielded cables (tying the common leads together at the cell). DO NOT connect the common lead of the cell to the shield.Aaron
