Reel 2 of one of my prints of American Pie 2 has spanish subtitles... The operator at Technicolor said I wasn't the only one with that problem... So much for integrity inspection...

I can do better than that - I went to see 'Hannibal' on the opening night (not my choice, I hasten to add) and one reel was dubbed into French! It wasn't too much of a disaster because most of the offending reel contained an opera scene and so there wasn't much dialogue. What's amazing is that the film must have been shown two or three times before I saw it and the fault had not been noticed by any of the cinema staff.

A friend of mine had 2 reels of "E T" dubbed in German.I had the same experience with “Jamanji”, what a shock to suddenly hear Robin Williams speaking in French when reel 5 went through. Ironically at the end of the film there was a sequence in French with English sub-titles which was part of the film. Fortunately all the patrons took it in good part and accepted re-admission tickets and no monies was lost.
So look out it could happen anywhere!

A few years back, before my tenure, we recieved a dubbed print of Jackie Chan Supercop. dubbed in French that is. We lost the whole first day and the matinee of the second. Gotta love that company

I love all the problems with Technicolor--bad prints and reels! So gee whiz, whats the purpose of them sending out all kinds of projectionists/exhibotors publicity packages? All the publicity in the world cant't help if you don't have a quality product--unless you have a corner on the market! Oh well, 'tis an emensely overloaded crock of
