What are your thoughts on using WD-40 to clean a projector? That's what I use. But I use it sparingly, only when necessary to remove some stubborn gunk. I find that it's really helpful in removing junk that's caked on to the tension bands. I just spray it on a Q-Tip and wipe the bands.

It is very important to keep WD-40 OUT of bearings and OFF the film!!!

Ken, not only has this been discussed in great detail before, but exactly 12 minutes prior to your starting this thread you asked the same question in a more relevant thread.
