I am having problems with a dolby CP45 or DA20 wanting to not play the center track in digital. The Center track is ok in when played in optical. I checked to make sure all the cables on the back of the DA20 and CP45 were secure and of course they were. Does anyone have an idea why it my be cutting out the center track in digital.

Perhaps the audio cable itself that is connected between the CP45 (ugh!) and the DA20 has problems. Is there another cable you can try in it's place? The CP45 is not known to be a stellar unit, so if it is not the cable I would assign blame to the CP45 first. I've seen a CP45 in real life, but I've never actually seen a working unit! The one they tried to put in the UA Park Meadows 6 when it opened and it never worked at all.

One easy test would be to unplug the DA20 from the CP45 and connect the nonsync source to the centre input and see if there is sound that would effectively eliminate the CP45 from the equation and leave only the DA20 or the cable and adapter

we have the same setup with a DA20 and a CP45, and most of the time our problems lie within the DA20 (which I've never had a CP45 go bad on me)

I've never had a DA-20 go bad on me. DA-10 is a different story.
