I have received a request for reverse scammers for this projector but I've never seen one. Does anyone have any idea what this is and if it is a currently made machine?

I don't think that's a current model. I've never come across reverse scan kits for older Bauer machines, but to be fair there aren't many around these parts. Best bet is probably Walter Voights ACL.

Mark, don't you mean Bauer B12 ?
You can see one in my picture on the left and also on the following link :

Thank for all the info everyone!! I got this e-mail form a customer in India last night. He is interested in having us manufacture a reverse scan system for them. Apparently thay have quite a few of them over there. As much as I like Walters ACL, I prefer to get away form slit lenses completely as they are the main source of most distortion that is generated.
Serge, That B-12 looks like a relative of the U-2. DO you have any other photos of it?

Thanks Serge, Thats a pretty cool looking machine. Is it a dual gauge or 35mm only machine? Looks like a reverse scan would be very possible to do.

It's a 35mm only projector.
To give you an idea of how the reverse scan optics works : 
This is a scan of the original german manual.
The light comes from the right, goes through two condensor lenses, then through a prisma.
The light then reads the track, goes through two micro objectives and then finally through the slit before it reaches the solar cell with I have replaced with Dolby Cat.164 bracket for stereo with awesome results.
The Bauer reverse scan analog reader has also a window where you can see the light going through the slit, very handy for making adjustments to the analog sound.

Mark,
have your Indian customer send you a photo of the unit. The Indians did do a copy of the Bauer which they called Cinecom...so it is best to know if it is German Bauer or other.
