I have heard nothing of this process since Rodger Ebert said something about it on his show. Although I am sure it looks nice, I am also shure that it will never happen. The industry's push at the moment is towards digital projection. One of the reasons for the push is to save money on physical print distribution costs like airmailing you prints overnight. for that reason and many others, the industry isn't going to adopt a format that uses twice as much film. Although, come to think of it, Kodak should be pushing for this format so they can increase film sales.

Twice as much film? Since it's a 3-perf pulldown running at 48fps, it will only use 50% more film than regular 4-perf pulldown running at 24fps, correct?
