Hi,

Few weeks ago I posted aabout my Cp500 that is not working properly. In a changeover installation, it stays in "P1" "V2" when projector 1 is running.
Many of you gave me few suggestions to resolve the problems but I didnt' found anything. I just discovered two very strange thing:

When projector 1 starts, to "force" Dolby Digital I can:

1. Frame the picture... (I'm not kidding)
2. Insit on the "SKx" from the remote controller I've build.

Ok, my "motor start" plug is cabled in a strange way, but I saw that I'm not the only one in my town... Motor Start 1 and 2 are directly connected so that anlog and digital signal is coming from the changeover pulse (open=proj1).

I build another plug with a long cable to make the tests from the control panel of cp500. When CP500 starts, it is in "P1 - V1" condition. If i connect the changeover wires I have the CP500 change to "P2-V2". Ok.
But if I disconnect the two wires I have... "P1 - V2".

Then, I found the ghosts...

If I disconnect the Audio Phoenix connector... The chageover become normal!

Surely is some ground problem (we have a big radio transmittent near the theater and perhaps something is acting alike an antenna) or similar...

Do you have suggestions?

Afraid I cannot be of any help to you Antonio. But when you mentioned a big radio transmitter near the theatre reminded me of the time I installed a new disc turntable for the non-sync in a cinema in Daventry. The non-sync worked fine except when the fader was on zero a radio programme in German was breaking through loud and clear. Not far from the cinema which I visited was the awesome and vast Daventry aerial fields, a site to be seen to believe which I will never forget.

Most of the lamp listings will take you to a frame that has a link to "Product Documents, Graphs, and Images" that contains a wealth of information on the handling, operation and disposal of xenon lamps.
