At KAPS AM660, we have a Rolls RA2100A Reference amplifier configured for stereo mode, 100 watts per channel. This amplifier has served us faithfully in the Production Room for years, but it finally died. It was a beautifully sounding amplifier. I contacted the Rolls vendor in Seattle, and they called the Rolls Corporation in Salt Lake City. The vender called me back and indicated I should call Rolls direct to obtain a RA number and chances are likely they will repair it free of charge, even though it is out of warrenty.
It was also noted that if there was a charge (which would be highly unlikely), Rolls Corporation would contact me for repair authorization before repairs were made. Now, THAT'S a deal.
The point is, have products made by Rolls found their way into the theater industry? Is anyone using them, and how are they holding up?
Apparently in the music industry, Rolls products are considered as "Professional Products" and Rolls seem to have a very good track record in supporting their product.
Sounds to me like the Rolls Corporation really believes in their product and are proud of it.

Rolls makes some nice stuff such as their field mixer for ENG and low budget film projects. They also have a phase checker and a oscillator test set. In the amplifier department - 100 watts is the largest they make, which is fine for the entended markets - Broadcast and Studios.
