Strange that you should ask this, as i just stripped and cleaned all mine today.
We have speco LP270's.
I was taught to strip them off and bath them in metho/shellite and then dry , lube and then re fit . Not having a spare set makes it difficult, so i have to rely on good timing and strip a plate when not being used.
My chief always said that he used to do it once aweek at his old cinema, but they had a spare set of rollers, so we only get to do it once every few months or when required.
i would also like to hear of other methods (if any?) and also, how often is recommended?.

Hi Jan,I heard you had taken over the Dynamax Theater....I was the one from Iwerks who installed the theater.....the rollers in question would be best cleaned with the cine clean you should have on hand...or alcohol would work....don't soak them but i've used a toohbrush and cineclean to clean them before....
I had some questions about your sound problem you had posted if you're still interested in discussing it.
Have a great day..
Scott
