If you are only trying to get dust and cobwebs off of your screen, I can't imagine that using a swiffer would hurt. They hold dust and dust bunnies quite well. But if there is anything else on your screen, i.e. gunk that was thrown at it, using a swiffer or any other dry cleaning tool will only smear it around and make it worse. Those situations require some special attention. If it ever becomes an issue, search the forums for a topic called screen cleaning or something similar. Is your screen really getting that dusty/dirty, or are you trying to beat the grime to the punch? If it isn't noticeable, I would probably leave well enough alone, because once you damage/dirty/smudge your screen, it will be difficult to get the crap off without making things worse.

I believe they contain a chemical agent to attract the dust and that might attack the screen material
I recomend a screen brush fro the front or vacume from the back
