I would think this post not necessary, but I had a guy call me up tonight for confirmation so...

The new Hoyts Film Distribution release of Dirty Deeds in Australia from Thursday has been labelled Widescreen (Flat) on all the Atlab boxes in error. The print is Scope.

Wonder how many this will catch out? It will certainly weed out those who inpect their prints and those who just build it.

Anyhoo...

Hi John,
Yup, My 2nd in command (at Hoyts) noticed this when making it up to 6000's.
I have not personally inspected anything, (I meant to, but forgot)but I trust my staff. (After all I trained them all - !!! :-)

However something else to look out for, some locations are
getting reel 4 from ICE AGE rather than Dirty Deeds reel 4!!

The print has already been made to plate and now sitting in a
sleeve. Being the middle of the holidays and ad/trl night
I totally forgot to check ID frames out, but again Im sure
number 2 know's the difference between C/S and W/S and a print suddenly going to a reel full of mostly 'white' scenes!!!

Bill.

PS. I like your subject for this thread, mainly the 'lurkers' part.

I understand that only one print had the wrong spl 4 in it and last I heard it had been rectified.
