Geez! Thanks for posting that. I'll give a copy to my Tech coming in from the U.S. tomorrow. I don't know what he's using.That sure is a serious problem.
And the actual name of the company is "Fluke" ?

Thanks for the info Rick. I just checked mine and it wasn't affected.
Manny, Fluke makes a wide range of different meters and measuring devices. I use one exclusivly.

I have a Fluke and I love it. I don't think mine is affected but I'll double check when I get to work in a few hours. If the serial number has worn away then I will just go around testing voltage lines and then touching them. If I get zapped then my multimeter needs to be recalled.

Seriously, though:
If I read the page right, all they are saying is that it can take a long time for the meter to "settle" on the right reading thereby tricking the user into thinking there's no voltage in the circuit under test when there really is. Right?
So, the meter itself isn't dangerous but if one doesn't watch out he could get "bit" whe he least expects. No?

That's the way I'm reading it. So every time I test a connection under VAC or VDC I'll just hold it there for 20 minutes, just to be safe.
