I have a B&H 540 16mm that is loosing the lower loop below the gate after a few minutes. The test film I'm using doesnt have any torn sprocket holes. Any suggestions? I got three of these machines for free, and have gotten 2 of them working right, when I bought an Elmo 16-CL which is the one I will probably use regularly but I would like to get this one working right also.

Adam, I would suspect the shuttle is shot. You might need a new shuttle kit. The kits can get very expensive (if you are lucky enough to find one) and they are very difficult to change if you don't have the proper tools. When the shuttles wear out, the machines generally wind up in the trash because they are not worth repairing. Looks like you have a parts machine now...

Thanks Paul, no reason to put a lot of money into a machine I got for free.
