Is this possible? I compared the pins of the DA20 and the breakout board and the only difference between the two is that the LE, RE and SPARE OUT are brought to ground in the DTS breakout board. Could this cause a problem, or are these pins not used in the Da20?

What exactly are you trying to do here? Are you trying to hook the output of a DA20 into a particular processor? Are you trying to loop a signal into the DA20?

I think Josh was wondering if the DTS breakout board could be used to interface the DA-20 with a CP-55.

The D574 breakout board? If so, yes it will work.

I wanted to use it to check that the unit was putting out audio, but last night I just went ahead and hooked the bastard up. crazy that a box of electronics can convert a bunch of dots into sound again.

If you are talking about audio breakout board, then, yes it will work. If you are talking about the logic, the only way for the logic to work properly is to turn off the digital system not needed for the feature. The DA20 and the DTS logic fight each other on the CP65.
