The sound in the Center HF Unit is breaking up at high frequencies. I've tried changing the speaker thinking there might be something wrong with that, however, its not worked. Is there something wrong with the amp (JBL MPA 600), crossover (IM12), or the processor (CP 65). Or perhaps there is something wrong with the sound installation and the speakers are damaged? HELP.Bhaskar

Did you change out the speaker, the horn or both? If you haven't already I would check the voice coil (diaphragm) at the back of the horn, if it is cracked, pitted, or blistered then that is the problem.

Bhaskar,You should try checking the sound after the processor, after the crossover and after the amplifier.
Use headphones to check the CP and crossover outputs; To check the ampli output you can use a little speaker but watch out the volume or you'll blow it!

Listen carefully on the monitor and if the signal sounds clean on the processor out and not on the amp(speaker)out then it tells you it is the amp(or electronic crossover)
If it is distorterd on the processor out then it is the processor
If clean on both look at the voice coli

Had asimilar problem with a CP65. Turned out to be a loose board and or dirty contacts. I used a little spray on electrical contact cleaner and re-inserted the boards. End of problem.

Your not running Mr. Deeds are you? I had a similar problem with a print of this movie. Cleaned everything, problem was still there. Made it down into the auditorium before the feature started and found that all the trailers and policy snipes were fine (our feature snipe is loud). Turns out it was just a bad analog track.
