Does anybody know where the "best" place to put a Kinetronics Static Vac would be? I'm having difficulty using it on the ground as the film returns to the platter, the film isn't holding tension well...

Here's the equipment package I'm working with: Century SA, Speco 3 deck platters. There is no mount above the projector for the unit.

I know they did make a cheesy mount for the top of the projector.

Steve -- We usually just sat them on the floor as the film returns to the platter, like you said you are having problems with. We were told to thread these so that the back would be towards the screen, and the film would run under the first roller, through the vac/brushes, and then continue on in between the set of rollers after it. (not actually touching the last two rollers.)

I thought this was kind of hokey, so we only used them when absolutely necessary. The brushes would collect dust and dirt fairly quickly and with the film running through them, it seems like scratches would be guaranteed.
