I thought this might have been covered long ago, but the search didn't find anything.One of my booths came with a complimentary tube of Lubriplate... well... my predecessors probably missed it on their way out!
Considering the high level of regard this stuff has with many of you, I thought someone here might have a good alternative & also a time-honored procedure for "bearings lubed right"

I use straight off-the-shelf bearing grease. I think you will find that it is a simple Timkin Bearing that may be found in the front wheels of rear axle driven cars.

I think Paul's got it right, Jack. Lubriplate is a little light but a good molybdenum (sp?) bearing grease will work fine. A little goes a long ways...Pat

We use Slick 50 Wheel Bearing grease...a bit hard to find but worth the effort.

I've used plain ordinary brown wheel bearing grease from the auto parts store.
