Anyone try to make one of these? Do you think it is practical? Seems to me if it worked in electro-mechanical computers 45 years ago, it should work today.

Getting highly polished hardened steel disks could be expensive, though. But that could be the only major down side except for the movable ball carriage.

What do you think?

Paul, Do you mean the Ball and Disk integrater as used in the MK1 fiire control computer but adapted to a rewind??? Are you related to my Uncle Rube?

Yup. I forgot what the CP designation was, but it was the BDC of the old ASB-1A the Navy A-3D airplanes had.

Yea, there's a whole web site on that...now if I can just find it again.........it also covered the MK1 computer in great detail.
