Does anyone know where I can download info an software for Cinema Acoustics processors ? We have inherited one and are keen to interface a DA20 or CP650

eeewww! CinemAcoustics! Which processor are you using? I might still have some software around here somewhere ...

The version I have is for the CA-CP600S and it's version 1.0d.7a. I don't have the install software, but I think it works just copying the files into a directory.

The CinemAcoustics stuff, like all equipment, has its ups and downs. There are some nifty things about it and some really dumb things. The fader comes to mind. Like the SDDS fader...it only has a range (+/-10dB) so you can not fade to zero. The "mute" function is either on or off...no fade. So forget about any smooth transistions from music to film or back.

The EQ section is pretty straight forward and overall I don't mind the GUI of the software. If you have used Peavey's Media Matrix, it will look awfully darn familiar.

The DFP-D3000 can fade to zero. You can also program non-sync to fade in and out for up to 7 seconds.

HI and thanks as always. I'm adding a 35mm projector and SRD to an existing large screen venue, processor is a CA DP300. Is the software capable of talking direct to a DP300 standalone ? We're looking at adding an entire CP650 thru the 6 chl analogue input, and maybe later switching the CP650 to being the main processor..

Remeber the large format configuration of that processor is based on a "Imax track configuration LS L C R RS R top

The 3000 and 2500 are certainly an improvement over the original 2000...Peavey only had the one generation (with several different models)
