Dolby's STOMP Trailer

DVD, bah!
There's no way this trailer is going to make kids cry.

No preview of the trailer in quicktime or something??
Posted by Brad Miller (Member # 2) on 02-27-2003, 10:08 PM:
STOMP is pretty cool and no doubt this will be a fun logo trailer, but please, please, please Dolby...give us something to scare the kiddies with!
BRING BACK THE FIRST VERSION OF THE TRAIN TRAILER.
Posted by Bobby Henderson (Member # 840) on 02-27-2003, 10:15 PM:
I think I've lost count. Wouldn't "Stomp" be the 7th theatrical trailer for Dolby Digital? ("Game" doesn't count since it is only for computer/multimedia stuff).
The press stuff says DVD is a possible outlet for this trailer. However, in spite of the wealth of DD trailers, hardly any of them are ever used. DTS has only 2 trailers and I see both of them on DVD releases a lot more often.
As a sidenote, THX has 8 active theatrical trailers (10 having been released total if you count the first trailer, "Wings" and the special "T2" trailer the "Cavalcade" snipe regurges). So THX is still the leader on count of format snipes.
Do you suppose word of the DD "Stomp" trailer's release might do more to light a fire under the butts of the folks there at DTS to get another trailer made? I know Karen said one is in the works. Hopefully it will get delivered to theaters by this summer (in part to celebrate the 10th anniversary of DTS).
Posted by Daryl C. W. O'Shea (Member # 1303) on 02-27-2003, 10:21 PM:
Yeah, maybe DTS could have another boring musical instrument trailer. Now that I think of it, that trailer doesn't even sound like the Yamaha piano it features.
Posted by Claude S. Ayakawa (Member # 1401) on 02-27-2003, 10:57 PM:
One of the most exciting thing about going to the movies especially the Waikiki theatres was the Dolby and DTS sound trailers. I also agree with you Brad, the original "TRAIN" trailer with the designation Dolby Stereo DIGITAL is still the best. The shorter one that use the current Dolby Digital logo is ok but not as good as the original. I also like "EGYPT" and CANYON". Except for Signature Theatres, digital sound trailers are no longer used here in Hawaii. Sad!

Posted by Brad Miller (Member # 2) on 02-27-2003, 11:25 PM:
Be careful about that description Claude. There were TWO versions of the Train trailer that ended with "Dolby Stereo Digital", and the second one sucked.
Posted by Claude S. Ayakawa (Member # 1401) on 02-27-2003, 11:43 PM:
I did not know that, Brad.
I do know that the one the Waikiki #2 and #3 used was the original Dolby trailer because when it was shown before the theatres closed, the trailers looked like they have ssen better days because of fine scratched on the image. I did not care how it looked. As long as the sound was awesome which it was at both of the Waikiki SRD equipped theatres.

Posted by Brad Miller (Member # 2) on 02-27-2003, 11:46 PM:
The original one started very quiet with "pings" in each speaker, then after a pause got LOUD! The second one (also with the "Dolby Stereo Digital" logo at the end) also has the "pings", but it started loud and the mix was nowhere near as clean nor powerful. If I remember correctly, it had an annoying high pitched train whistle mixed in as well. I have copies of that second one, but unfortunately I do not have one of the original.
Posted by Scott Norwood (Member # 30) on 02-28-2003, 12:02 AM:
Memo to Dolby: In addition to bringing back "Train," please also bring back "City." And give us another SR trailer, too; "Temple" gets really boring after about the second viewing.
One of my favorite sound logo trailers is SDDS "Jungle"; it's a bit on the long side, but it "works" well with the right film.
Posted by Bobby Henderson (Member # 840) on 02-28-2003, 12:13 AM:
The SDDS trailers are something hardly ever seen. One would think they would be an automatic staple at any AMC site. I only saw the first SDDS trailer the first couple times I visited AMC's Grand 24 in Dallas when it opened in 1995. And then I've seen the "Volcano" SDDS trailer only once (on the front of "The Matrix" at Oklahoma City's AMC Quail Springs Mall 24 --when that theater was still new).

I'm looking forward to this trailer and I hope it's a good one.
We really do need another DTS trailer. That piano one was a major, MAJOR disappointment.
I'd also like to see another Dolby SR trailer. The "Temple" trailer was okay for the first four years we used it but...
Well, we don't run the SR trailer anymore the way we once did. In fact, there have been talks of devising our own "Stereo" trailer for the analog houses. Wouldn't THAT be fun!?
I believe Muvico has a special version of Dolby's "Egypt" trailer to complement their Egyptian-themed multiplexes.
Posted by Claude S. Ayakawa (Member # 1401) on 02-28-2003, 12:26 AM:
There are actually three SDDS trailers and all use footage that were shot at Hawaii Volcano National Park and off the coast of the big island of Hawaii where the park is. The three trailers include "VOLCANO", "JUNGLE" and "OCEAN". I dont know if the later is called that but it the one under the sea.

Bobby, in case you didn't know, SDDS charges for their trailers. Dolby and dts are both very good about supplying their equipped theaters with trailers at no cost. The result, Dolby and dts get free publicity.
Posted by Christopher Seo (Member # 7) on 02-28-2003, 01:44 AM:
Claude, I certainly loved running that Dolby Train trailer at the Waikiki. Whichever version it was, I thought it was great... very surreal. I'm betting it was the original one because the SRD installation in Waikiki #2 was quite old (Cat. 699, DA10). In fact it may even have been acetate....
Even though I should love the SDDS trailers for being filmed in my home state, I always thought they were kind of cheesy, especially "Volcano". The only one I really liked was the original SDDS tag.... As far as AMC, you'd think if they cut a deal to have SDDS-only installations they'd have cut a deal to get free SDDS tags too.
I assume this new EX trailer will have the "EX flag" in the data which can automatically pulse certain CPs (650, 500?) into EX. I haven't seen this in operation, but I know that a couple of regular trailers ("Rain", and possibly "Aurora") have versions with the flag. Has anybody used these yet?
Posted by Aldo Baez (Member # 790) on 02-28-2003, 02:17 AM:
I still use the City trailer but only in front. Damn that one is nice and loud.
I've never heard the train trailer... and I think karen posted a week or two ago that DTS is making a new trailer aren't they?

Gettin' closer to 6 weeks, but close enough.

My favourite (for SR/D) is RAIN. Great graphics, combined with the sound being distinguishable from different channels, it's far better then TRAIN (v.2). That all said, my favourite of all time has to be BERTHA. I just love that bee.
Brad (or anyone else!) : I believed that Dolby only gave away one trailer for new installs. We could do with a new CANYON in W/S, we only have a scope version at the mo.

Bertha???
I forget the name of the Dolby rep who handles trailers. I know it has been posted here in the past. Anyone remember?

I loved the "Ghost train" and "City" the best. I wish dolby would make a trailer featuring the sounds of nature. It might be difficult to make as it would have to be 30 sec's or so, but I think it's possible.
Posted by Jason Whyte (Member # 1433) on 03-01-2003, 02:39 AM:
It's great to see that there is still discussion about the original V1 trailer of Dolby Stereo Digital "Train". The last time I ever saw it was in 1998 (in front of "The Mask Of Zorro"), and cringe every time I hear the newer, weaker one. For now, however, I'm happy with the "Rain" trailer.
Does anyone have any copies of that particular trailer? I'd happily buy them and supply them to the theaters that show my movies, free of charge.

THX has a nifty audio-only thing called "Jungle Sounds" (I think) and it gives a pretty good demonstration of nature stuff and other more wild sound effects in 5.1. I downloaded a .vob file of that (and most of the THX theatrical trailers, DD theatrical trailers and DTS trailers) from some French multimedia site. Its not up anymore though. If I had a DVD burner, I'd have a pretty exhaustive trailers disc.
Dolby Labs already has a very good DD demo DVD. I paid $20 for mine ($15 price + $5 shipping). DTS has made a number of good demo DVDs as well. I just wonder when THX is going to get their act together and offer something similar. They do realize they could make money off such a thing, don't they?

Berta The Bee, a 1 minuite cartoon bee flying around the screen. Starts at the back out of sight and flys to the front goes from side to side and waves at you ( with cute twinkley noise ). The bee flyes around for a bit and then reves up a bit and flys straight at the camera, bumps into the the lens, goes back , splutters and then drops off the screen.
The trailer is SR only. The sound on the trailer is very good, it would be good if Dolby redid it in SR.D.
Its also a good trailer to play with kids films as it makes the young ones laugh.
Posted by Douglas Curry (Member # 1485) on 03-09-2003, 06:33 PM:
another funny one for the kids i've seen is on the (Australian) DVD of "Monsters Inc.". It's a THX spot of about 30 seconds.
A worker in blue overalls comes into screen infront of the big THX sign and holds up a kids toy. A little broad cylinder, and when turned upside down, it makes a big MOO noise.. he then grabs a electric plug from inside the side of the THX sign, and plugs it into the toy, then makes it MOO again. The sound and picture both bounce around the screen and all melds into the original THX fading up of strings/noise.
Posted by Brad Miller (Member # 2) on 03-09-2003, 06:37 PM:
That is called "Moo Cow" or "Cow 2" or "Tex 2" (depending on who you talk to). It was released about 5 years ago to THX theaters.

Rick,
I don't know much about these trailers except that I got a couple ("Rain") when I visited Dolby in S.F. Not sure if the "Rain" mix was redone for EX. I think it's the same but with the addition of the flag. Unfortunately, I don't have access to any EX setup to test these out on.
Posted by Manny Knowles (Member # 1171) on 03-10-2003, 09:36 AM:
All of my "Rain" trailers are labeled as having EX.
What's the deal? Did this used-to-be a regular 5.1 trailer at first?
BTW, I bought that Dolby Digital DVD, too. It's called "Explore Our World" and it has all of the past and current Dolby trailers on it, except for "Mancini." I was especially hoping to see that one.
On the other hand, they had a trailer I've never heard of on there. It's an EX trailer (the newest to date) called "Waterfall." How many of you have run that one?
Posted by Bobby Henderson (Member # 840) on 03-10-2003, 05:35 PM:
Manny, you have a newer demo DVD than mine. I have the older "We've got the Whole World Listening" disc. That one has seven DD trailers (including the "Game" multimedia trailer). But it does not feature the "waterfall" trailer you mentioned. The disc has two featurettes about Dolby's history and an explanation of Dolby Digital audio. And then there's three audio only music clips.
What does your newer demo disc have? Are the DD trailers on it anamorphic enhanced for widescreen TVs? The ones on my disc are not 16x9 enhanced. Are there other featurettes besides the two I described? I also presume the new "Stomp" DD trailer is not on this new demo disc (since it hasn't been released to theaters yet).
The Dolby Digital "Rain" and "Aurora" trailers were both released in 1999 as part of the launch of Dolby Digital Surround EX. So, I don't think there's ever been a non-EX 5.1 version of either clip. I think "Rain" was made available first, timed with the release of "Episode I: Jar Jar Goes To Spacecamp".
Some DVDs feature the "Aurora" DD trailer. My copies of "Akira" and "T2: Ultimate Edition DVD" have it. "The Abyss" special edition 2-disc DVD (now out of print) has a shortened version of "Rain" available as a kind of easter egg on the 2nd disc.
Posted by Christopher Seo (Member # 7) on 03-11-2003, 09:46 AM:
Very interesting. But has any SRD tag ever advertised EX, other than the short "Coming Soon" teaser put out before Episode 1? What's the point of putting an EX mix on the tag if you're not going to point it out to the audience?
Posted by Darryl Spicer (Member # 711) on 03-11-2003, 10:12 AM:
Isn't the EX decoders just a pro logic matrix chip. You feed the left and right surrounds into it and it decodes the information like any other stereo mix. So long as the surrounds are stereo and mono surround info will be directed torwards the center. My home stereo features EX decoding and I can play anything that has a stereo surround mix and get the center channel effects.
Posted by Manny Knowles (Member # 1171) on 03-11-2003, 12:16 PM:
"Waterfall" trailer is tagged on-screen as Dolby Digital-EX. In my opinion, there's maybe a little too much text to read in that trailer.
Oh...are you talking about movie ads? I have a tee-shirt for "Austin Powers in The Spy Who Shagged Me" that has the DD-EX logo on the sleeve. But I can't swear that the trailers or posters had that tag...or even the movie itself, for that matter.
Bobby:
From the back of the DVD case...
quote:
This disc is loaded with many new features, including:
Dolby Channel Check, specially designed for this demo disc, which allows you to test your home theatre speaker configuration for Dolby Surround, Dolby Digital, and Dolby Digital Surround EX playback. This is a must-have option for any home theatre enthusiast.
New Dolby Digital Surround EX trailer Waterfall, used in specially equipped cinemas. Dolby Digital Surround EX uses a matrix encode-decode technique that adds an additional surround channel for a more exciting, enveloping surround sound effect and increases the number of main channels from five to six. For full impact, a Dolby Digital EX decoder is required, although all Dolby Digital Surround EX content is compatible with Dolby Digital decoders.
Dolby Headphone technology encoded content. This is a unique new signal processing system that enables conventional stereo headphones to convincingly portray the sound of a multispeaker surround sound system in an actual listening room. Dolby Headphone technology can be incorporated into virtually any type of audio or video product that features a headphone output, and is also used by airlines to heighten their passengers' in-flight entertainment experience.
It doesn't have the documentary stuff that's on your disc. The front of this new disc says "Widescreen Format" and I remember reading somewhere that they are indeed anamorphic 16x9.
Posted by Bobby Henderson (Member # 840) on 03-11-2003, 05:08 PM:
"Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me" was a real DD-EX release, although you'll find no notation of it on the DVD. I think that was the 2nd DD-EX film release just after "Episode I: Jar Jar Dates a Catfish".
Aren't those test tone thingies kind of like the THX Optimode feature seen lately on a lot of DVDs? I think I do better using my receiver's built-in pink noise generator and just going from there.
Daryl, DD-EX is pretty much just as you describe, a Pro-Logic like thing. If you have a DVD setup at home, don't manually activate it on any 4.1 mono surround DVDs like "The Abyss" unless you want all your surround audio locked to the back wall.
Good to see the DD trailers are 16x9 enhanced on the new demo DVD. Too bad it doesn't have the new "Stomp" clip (assuming that upcoming trailer is any good). I'll have to think about it before buying.
Posted by Darryl Spicer (Member # 711) on 03-11-2003, 06:56 PM:
yeah, I know about that 4.1 thing. I can turn the mix down off when I have those type DVD's or Laserdiscs.

Dolby Pro-Logic II is pretty damned impressive, especially for a stereo format. I am amazed that they haven't come out with "Dolby Pro-Logic II EX" which is theoretically possible. When I mix a 5.1 channel DVD on my Mac, the stereo downmix is automatically in Pro-Logic II. Amazing how well it translates.

The "Temple" trailer is for the Dolby SR format. You should be able to order it from Dolby Labs. The same thing also goes for the Dolby Digital Demo DVD. You can't buy it at Amazon.com. Only the Dolby Store has it. Yours for $20 (plus shipping).

The Dolby Demo DVD is available from the Dolby store:

Only the new disk is available. That's too bad, as the first one had some very nice multi-channel demos, including a vocal group with a different part in each speaker. One thing the new one DOES have is information on each Dolby trailer, its production company and some additional info.

Dear colleagues,
our company has produced its own sound-demo-trailer called GONG!, presented in SDDS-8, dts-ES and Dolby EX, available in both flat and scope. This one has now replaced all trailers mentioned here before on our screens because through the years we've become kind of tired of having to pay for third-party-logo-trailers while providing free advertising space for logos that are also worthy in competing markets (= home-cinema).
If you're interested, have a look:
http://gong.x-b-ex.de/cinemaxx_gong.wmv
(Windows Media Player required and don't expect the true 8-channel + ES-experience on your computer...)
Anybody else out there with a company-sound-trailer?

Re questions from Christopher and Rick about Auto EX:
A Dolby staffer sez:
Auto EX is fully supported on the CP-650 with just a software update, provided you have an EX decoder card in the system. It also eliminates the need to use a user format for EX as the format 10 button will play EX or non-EX based on the flag bit in the data from the reader.
The DA-20 and CP-500 setups can also be upgraded for auto EX, but this does require an updated board in the SA-10 surround adapter and some added wiring. In a CP-500, CP-65/DA-20, or CP-55/DA-20, and even a CP-200/DA-20 a serial data cable connects between the units to feed the meta data to the SA-10 and it will then switch in based on the EX flag bit.

Jason
Posted by Brad Miller (Member # 2) on 03-16-2003, 02:37 AM:
Jason, that is NOT the original Train trailer. That is the version "B" trailer that was released shortly after the original version was released (rumored to be because too many theaters were blowing speakers). Personally, I think that "Dolby - Train (version longue)" is the worst one of all the various mixes of the Train.
The trailer labeled "dolby-train" is the current one in theaters.
The trailer labeled "dolby-train_surround" has the visuals of the original mix, but I don't believe that is the proper sound mix.
The "dolby best sound" trailer is interesting. It is an old home video snipe. Apparently having Dolby Surround in your living room means you get to hear the noise of a projector behind you during the movie.
If the third dts logo for download is the new logo Karen was talking about, there is no way I will play it. It is a minute and 15 seconds long and is VERY TINNY and will hurt people's ears! There is also no "oooomph" or "slickness" to it at all (looks like a college video production that is desperately trying to be cool, but just isn't). Hopefully that was a "made for home video" logo. If that is released to theaters, there will be a lot of hf diaphragms replaced and a lot of people hating to go to movies in dts. I had to watch it twice to be sure before I posted this, but this is definitely the worst sound logo trailer I have ever seen in every aspect.
Posted by Jason Whyte (Member # 1433) on 03-16-2003, 04:26 AM:

The long version of the train is my favorite as well. Tons of surrealism and lots of punch.
There is no way that 3rd DTS logo is something they would use as a trailer. Looks more like something they put on the front of a DTS demo DVD or something. Many shots whiz by at 60 fields per second, meaning much of it was made on video. I just listened to it in 5.1 and the surrounds are pretty aggressive as is the sub. I don't think it would blow any diaphragms though. The music is very bad. It is boring to watch. Even for a demo DVD I don't like it. Interesting that the audio is encoded in Dolby Digital, not DTS. But the other two trailers on the site have DTS audio. If you download the other two DTS trailers on the site, you probably won't hear any sound since no software DVD players support DTS audio that I know of.

That French website had an interesting collection of .VOB files, some anamorphic enhanced and others not. I didn't expect to see old Dolby Digital trailers using the old "Dolby Stereo Digital" logo. But I agree with Brad that none of the three "Train" trailer versions offer the original and more powerful 5.1 mix. I don't hate the "long" trailer as much as some do, but it certainly doesn't have as much oomph to it as the original I heard at the GCC Northpark #1 and Cinemark Hollywood USA theaters (the first two theaters in Dallas to get Dolby Digital).
The newer trailers (like "Waterfall", "Enlighten" and "Wizard") are kind of boring. "Waterfall" isn't even as dynamic as the DTS "Sonic Landscape" trailer, which already in and of itself is pretty tame. I hope whatever trailer(s) DTS is developing will be a lot more "in-your-face".
That third DTS trailer at the French website, "DTS Experience" doesn't seem like an authentic DTS trailer. The wrong font is used (the DTS logo is comprised of type based on Dolmen, a font by Letraset/ITC). The Optima family is used for supplemental type. I'm not sure what font is used for the "ES" part in the DTS-ES logo. Anyway, that trailer is not a real DTS trailer.

Mike the MacMan to the rescue!
Two VOB solutions for mac.
THE EASY WAY - Mac OS X and a descent processor (g3 500 at bare minimum), g4 recomended. Download a program called VLC at videolan.org You can open any kind of DVD, satalite, or other rare digital streams with this. But don't expect great frame rates on a G3.
HARD WAY, WITH DVD ERRORS POPING UP 3 SECONDS TO THE END OF THE CLIP, BUT FUN NONE THE LESS AND GIVES SLOWER MACHINES A CHANCE TO PLAY VOB. You can trick the DVD player on your mac to play most of the vob file. Make a folder on your hd called "VIDEO_TS". Insert a DVD video disc into the drive and open the disc in the finder. Open the DVDs "VIDEO_TS" and copy "VIDEO_TS.BUP" and "VIDEO_TS.IFO" to your fake "VIDEO_TS" folder on your HD. Put the VOB you want to open into your "VIDEO_TS" folder and rename it "VIDEO_TS.VOB". Now open the Apple DVD player, from the file menu choose "Open VIDEO_TS Folder" and choose the VIDEO_TS folder you just made.
Only tested under MacOSX, probably works on nine too, but no guarrenties.
Of course, you could grab your local PC weilding geek with a DVD burner and have him make you a DVD.

Like Mike said, PCs can burn DVDs. Macs cannot burn DVDs so whatever you do don't demux the VOB file (with bbDEMUX ) and then import the .m1v and .ac3 files into DVD Studio Pro (this program does not exist) build a disc and burn the DVD with Toast (also nonexistent). Then be sure not to take the DVD-RW into your home theater setup and watch them in full 5.1 surround!

Hello all. Just got 2 new trailers from Dolby today. I forget the exact name, but it said EX in the title. Weird thing is, they came through fed ex. Anyhow, it also came with a paper stating to run it with the Matrix Reloaded. RATS! The print I built already has Dolby city on it. Is there an easy way to change this? I have it placed right before the Warner Bros. logo.

Was FedEx discrete or matrixed?
The Matrix Reloaded isn't a Dolby EX release... are you sure your new snipes are actually EX snipes?
Posted by Aaron Garman (Member # 1653) on 05-15-2003, 02:57 AM:
Well, we don't have EX at our place, but on the label, EX was in big bold letters. I was in tonight to see the Matrix Reloaded with my friends at a sneak preview, so I didn't get a good look at the trailer. I'll check it out tomorrow or sometime this weekend when I get a better look. Anyone else get these?

We got our 2 and ran them with matrix.
All i can say is i want more copies so i can run this trailer on EVERYTHING! It rocks!
The trailer itself does not specify EX. It just says "dolby" at the end.

We received two trailers today from Dolby to put on The matrix Advertising there new EX trailer. Funny thing is we do not use Dolby digital at out theater. In the letter it said Our theater was specially chosen. Oh Well.

Anybody else running this trailer?
I wanna read more reactions to it. Where -- in your opinion -- does it rank in relation to the other Dolby trailers?
I haven't received mine yet -- turns out they needed my address again.

I ran the STOMP trailer a few times this summer (Matrix, T3, and Once Upon a Time in Mexico) and it didn't get too big a reaction when I was in the theatre. My buddies all hated it, but it has grown on me. Only one time (possibly during the Matrix) someone did applaud. I'd much rather watch some other Dolby trailers, but it was nice to see something and show something that was new. By the way, how do you order more trailers from Dolby?

You may be able to get them through your dealer but I order mine from Dolby's marketing department in San Francisco. I sent in a fax request and they faxed back a form for me to fill out.
You can get a set of (Flat and Scope) trailers each year for each processor you have. They can also send you posters, too.
The form they faxed to me asked for Dolby model numbers and serial numbers for each screen. I think you can download that form from their website and then mail or fax it back to them.

I don't like the STOMP trailer. I'd rather see and listen to something cool. Instead we get a trailer showing off a bunch of homeless people who are so poor that they have to resort to using trash cans as footwear because they can not afford shoes. I also don't really understand how homeless people really fit in with Dolby Digital. Maybe the founder of Dolby used to be a homless man before inventing noise reduction?

We've finally got the Stomp trailer (it's called 'Perspectives' over here) last week, and I think it's great, fresh new idea. It's had a good response from audiences as weel, playing before both Underworld and The Italian Job.
Cinemas in the UK can get occasional replacements from Dolby free of charge, in either flat or scope, by faxing your details (include the model and serial number of your processor/s) to the Marketing department at Wootton Bassett. Failing that they are available for about £20 from Jack Roe.
Mind you, Dolby have been happy to send me replacement trailers regularly, as we still have a prototype CP-650 on site.

Dan,
How have you managed to get these? Did you just get them sent to you unexpectedly? Or did you have to bug Dolby UK for them?
Whenever I have mentioned possible freebies to Dolby they say "no chance" and we have to pay £20 for *every* trailer we buy. At least DTS UK are a bit more generous...well occasionally!
While i'm on the subject, do you know where to get some SDDS trailers from as we *should* be inheriting two units from another site soon, and I like to distinguish between sound formats with trailers.
Thanks,
Lee

Thanks Manny! Oh, by the way, the actual name here is also "Perspectives".

Lee,
I'll dig out the "Promotional items for Cinemas" form tomorrow and send you over the details. I've never had a problem getting trailers, wall plaques and posters from Dolby. Not sure about SDDS or DTS trailers as we have neither installed here yet - I would try both Jacro and Sound Associates.

Lee,
I tried to e-mail you the Dolby 'Promotional Items for Cinemas' forms, but your Hotmail address doesn't seem to like attachments, and keeps getting bounced back. Can I send them to another address? Or fax them??

Anyone know how can i get the dolby trailers? We have only one (CITY) and is in poor condition. The people love to see the trailers. The trailers are free or we have to buy them?

That first dolby link is for video producers who want to include a Dolby trailer on their video. It's not for theatre operators.
You need to get in touch with Dolby marketing in San Francisco and get into their database.
