I just thought of something consisting of an intermittent movement with an oil pump built in to it whether for the movement only or it & the projector gearing. This would probably not require rigid tubing or hoses to feed oil to the movement but instead would provide positive direct continuous feed of oil to the starwheel & cam. The Ballantyne Pro 35 movements seen in the photos of the Strong factory,do they have an oil pump built into them or something else?

The Ballantyne head uses no pump because the entire gear train and intermittent actually runs immersed in oil, rather than having oil sprayed on the gears from a sump.

The Simplex X-L has a built in oil pump, and it is the only one that comes to mind that does, there may be others that I've yet to see. All other machnes are either totally submerged...Pro 35, Christie Ultramittent...or force fed, Norelco DP-70, Bauer U-2, Kalee 21, Brenkert....etc. Movements such as Century, Super Simplex, E-7, and Standard are splash lubricated, these only contain about 2 to 3 ounces of oil. The Motiograph and some of the very old macines were grease lubricated.

My preference has always been force fed as one can remove the movement without draining all the oil in the machine out such as you have to do in a Ballantyne.

The Simplex intermittent is the only one that comes to mind for a built in oil pump. The G-1836 Shaft & Gear Assy mates up to the intermittent flywheel gear, these two togeter act as the oil pump for the intermittent, forcing oil through a hole in the casting where it reaches the star and cam, continuously feeding the intermittent.
