Hi all,
I have just started looking at the CP55 instructions here on film tech and was wondering about something.
I have a mixer attached to the mag input on the cp55 to give me PA and extra aux inputs, question is : how do i increase the gain, i know there are a selection of circuit boards in the CP55, which one do i tweak?
Thanks
Michael

if memory serves there is only a header to select input level hi or low but gain adjustment is done in the mag preamp

On my Dolby CP 55 I used to run a 10 channel power mixer through the non-sync card which has gain adjustments. This was for a mic, CD/MD, Revox 1/4 inch open reel. The mixer was also used for 16mm & DVD projection sound.
I would suggest a 600 ohm isolating transformer on each leg, available from Radio Spares or Maplins.
