Thought i bring this up after reading through the Matrix reloaded int the feature and trailer info.

With the serial # on the disk. regardles if the first number is a 0 is it still consider a 5 number, which means the print is in EX/ES.
Or is it different.

My understading was any DTS CD-ROM with a 4 digit number (such as "2328" for example) was a standard DTS-6 release. A serial number with five digits (such as "35788" for example) would be a DTS-ES feature.

Has this method been consistent with past DTS releases?

The new MATRIX film is in 5.1, not ES or EX.

It is true that the serial number on the disc starts with "0". But, this does not signify that it is an "ES mix". Any disc you see with four digits (ie 1234) or five digits starting with "0' (ie 01234) are both 5.1 mixes.

An "ES mix" disc will have a serial number with a number other than "0" as the first digit. A true ES disc will have a five digit serial number such as "61236".

We received two trailers today from Dolby to put on The matrix Advertising there new EX trailer. Funny thing is we do not use Dolby digital at out theater. In the letter it said Our theater was specially chosen. Oh Well.
