I have some lamp houses that are currently using XM1600HS, which are the short bulbs...and then we go and put on an adapter to make them a little longer.
It seems dumb to me...but, who knows? Maybe there's a perfectly logical explanation for this.
Anyway...my question is:
Could I use the standard XM1600H/VC style in these units and forget about the adapter?

It would be a good idea to say what lamphouse/console it is in
The HS doesn't need a stabalization magnet in certain lamphouses but the HVC does

I think they are ORC's. The lamp goes in vertical.
I don't get to see these particular lamp houses too often so I can't be 100% sure about that and I really couldn't give a model number.

Yes. The 1600W 'Long' bulbs are exactly the same size as a standard 2K H/VC bulb.
