Does anyone have any information, schematics etc. about an ORC Eclipser xenon slide projector? It looks similar to Navitar's models. I tried googling for it but came up with nothing. A friend's theatre has one but it won't run. I haven't had a chance to troubleshoot it yet. Thanks in advance [Smile]

Chris, the Eclipser part refers to the fader module that mounts in place of the stock lamphouse cover. IIRC, it used a motorized gradient wheel to modulate the light output from the xenon lamp to simulate dimming when the projector is used with a dissolve unit.

Xenographic is the model name used for these projectors (and it sounds like your friend has one of the later models which use a Kodak Ektagraphic-III-type mechanism). Strong International acquired the Xenographic line when they bought ORC's projector operation in the mid 1990s (gaining Century in the process). You may want to give Strong a holler to see if they still support the projectors. Good luck!
