I am a total newbie to this projector. So I have this DP75 now, sans mag heads. I saw someone advertising 6 track assemblies for the AA2. my question is, are the mag heads for an AA2 interchangeable with the DP75?

Absolutely...they are the exact same head mount.

heh, i'll take anything at this point. Is there one head cluster for 70mm 6trk and a seperate one for 35mm 4trk? or are they integrated into one?

Teccon made both a 70mm 6-track-only head and a combo 35mm 4-track/70mm 6-track head for the DP75.

BTW, I found your 35mm spindle.

You can probably still find new Teccon heads for the DP-75 in both 6 and 10-track forms. Kinoton still offers new 6 and 10-track heads as well (no they aren't those blue plastic things...these are precision made). For future reference the same head is used on the current FP-75E (and MP-75E).

I have one or two old well worn Norelco 10 track heads--the blue plastic ones Steve refers to. If you get desperate let me know. No idea if they still work but probably pulled from service while still functional. 4-track not as worn as 6-track.

I struck a deal for a NIB 10 track head. What I need more than anything is the optical sound drum and flywheel assembly. which seems to be absent! Unless the flywheel uses those round plates that stack up, which i have. (Aaron, I'm sending you my wish list here shortly.) [Smile]

The stacks of thin round plates are the flywheel.

I can't find that shaft here, I would guess it was the item they were looking for when it was parted out.

the "waffers" for the flywheel are interesting as I have noticed with certain angles of projection more or less were required to eliminate flutter and odd arrangement
