In our new mixing theatre, we are looking at using a Panastereo CSP2218 D-cinema processor, instead of building a b-chain out of discreet components (EQs, crossovers)
According to the manual, the crossover frequency is preset by a resistor array to either 500HZ, 800Hz, or 1.2kHz at the factory. Since we will be using JBL 4622s as our main speakers, and JBL suggests a crossover of 630Hz for the bi-amped version of those, is it possible to replace the resistors in the 2218 to better match the suggested crossover point, or better yet put in pots so that it can be adjusted?

Has anyone ever done this? If not, is it theoretically possible?

Anything is possible and would entail scaling the resistor values
I would contact Ray Derrick at Panalogic.com if he doesn't see this first

It is as simple as changing some resistor networks, one per channel. These are socketed and can be easily changed in the field, or we can ship it with the crossover frequency you desire.

I will be installing a CSP-1200 into an ex- Iwerks 15/70 large format system this Sunday. The CSP-1200 will accept two digital inputs and a mag input from the dubber as it comes from the factory. The pefect processor for this particuluar system.
