I was just in checking a splice and I noticed all these beige colored splotches all over the screen. It also had a few black specks.

Do we just have a not so good print or did they do that on purpose to make the film feel more gritty?

One of the new anti-piracy watermarking codes?

Probably CAP code or something similar. Mine was plagued with terrible markings just like everyone has been complaining about lately.

The print I screened was excellent, nothing wrong at all.

Hmmmmmm so Chris, have you read the thread CAP code secrets revealed yet? Warning, once you know what an anti-piracy marking is, you won't be able to NOT see them.
