After browsing throughout the sites I found some new products. First of all Smart released a MOD 7 Processor with built in EX decoder. Anyone has any information about the product or installed it anywhere. Please share your opinions with the others. Also I saw the new projector from Christie the CINE X35. Anyone has any information about the product or installed it anywhere. Please share your opinions with the others. We are here to teach the EXPERIENCE.
Thank you

Is Smart calling it "EX" or "Circle Surround ES"? I remember a trademark lawsuit sometime back over the issue.

I have one in at a nearby theatre for trials. I can also report that its pretty darn good. Just stay away from using the SR noise reduction and stick with the type A NR. I know certain techs here would cringe at that statement and or using this processor in the first place. It is however quite decent and the matrix is excellent! In fact four of them are on the way to a customer of ours in Wyoming.

Is the SR just bad? I used to have some of Smarts copycat 280 cards in use and they wern't too shabby. Not as nice as Dolby's but they sounded OK.
