Another platter question-

On one of our Alpha Platters (model 35-A3), when we use the top deck it squeaks very obnoxiously. I assume it's coming from the roller that's attached to the motor that spins the platter (I can't find the manual, I'm not sure what this part is called). This is where it sounds like it's coming from. Is there a specific part that needs to be lubed? If so, what should be used to lube it?

The only part that is lubed is the bearing at the center of the platter itself. Nothing else on an Alpha normally needs any lube.

More and Likely it will be the lower cone bearing. You should be able to find them at a auto parts store. Not very expensive.

Check also to see that the payout assembly isn't sitting to low in its holder, and the platter isn't turning one of the perimiter rollers. Adjusting the height of the payout is simple but requires removing the disc and loosening the screw in the post.

And check that spacer on the spindle.
