Hi everyone

I noted that all of our FLAT Dolby aurora trailes are not beautiful like the scope version. They have less contrast, less colours, like "fogged"...

Is it a general issue or I just have a bad stock?

All of our flat copies of Egypt seem to have less vibrant color than the scope versions.

Different formats were likely recorded onto film separately and went through different systems. The same film stocks would be used however. Not necessarily "bad stock", but just different production methods. Don't forget that "scope" is often better quality than "flat", because of the larger image area.

Sure, but my flat trailers has COMPLETELY different quality, the stars on the background cannot almost be seen at the start of the Flat trailer.

"Scope" has a projectable image area of 20.96 x 17.53 mm.
"Flat" 1.85:1 has an area of 20.96 x 11.33 mm.
"Scope" having an image area over 50% bigger does make a difference in the resolution of fine details, especially if the larger area was also used for the original negative and duplicating films. Not the only possible explanation, but certainly one of them.
