I've got a Smart MOD IIC and a DA-20 for our digital reader. I can't find a way to set the level of the digital sound. The Mod IIC says to set it with the external digital unit, and the DA-20 only refers to setting the levels on the processor. Am I missing something or is there just no way to change the digital audio level?

I believe the Mod2c digital level is fixed inside the processor and It should be close if you provide 300mv to the input

I'd be willing to bet that either your A chain or B chain is not set up properly....perhaps even both of them..... The DA20 has a fixed level output.

How do you go about setting the subwoofer level when using the DA20 or is it automatically output 10dB higher?

Philip,

Typically the DA20 level comes pretty close to matching the optical level. There is no internal digital level adjustment on the MOD 2C, and of course the DA-20 output level is also fixed. If you are seeing significant differences, let me know, and we will try to come up with a solution.
