I can't find a manual that describes the alignment of the analog reader.

The manual (cinemeccanicasrd.pdf) on this site says at some point "Now you can set the digital reader and the analogue one", however it only describes the digital alignment [Mad]

I have downloaded other manuals also. They are all about the digital reader...

Basically the same as the original slit-lens setup except its reversed. Rough adjusting the LED bracket is easier than other setups because you can see the cell. Simply move it up or down until the light is hitting the middle of the cell can. Check clearance of the LED bracket around the drum as you would with a standard solar cell.(Try not to look directly at the LED) Most of the adjustments are self evident. Lateral position of the LED can be tricky (have to take the outer drum on and off until you get it). Lateral position of the lens/preamp is obvious. Focus and azimuth are essentially the same as the old system except you can fine tune the focus once you have the azimith optimised with the front of The lens adjustment. Just fine tune everything with the scope & RTA as you would a normal a-chain. These systems have worked very well for us. No need for any slit loss correction either - nice flat response.
