Greetings all ! Trust everyone had a prosperous easter.

I have a clock problem with one of our panalogic display panels , the clock is constantly loosing time , I have reset it several times , each day it is behind , Does anyone know what the cause of this may be ? does the panel have a battery in it for the clock when it is powered off ?

It does have a battery in it but it is the solder in type. Have you tried calling Panalogic?

Constantly, or only when it's turned off?

If it loses time while it's turned on it's probably not the battery and likely a crystal problem.

If it loses time only when it's turned off it's the battery.

The CA2000's control panel (RC140) has a NimH backup battery that maintains the clock and program memory when the unit is powered off. Losing time is a symptom that the battery is beginning to fail. If you call Panalogic in Sydney (02 98946655) we can arrange for an exchange RC140 panel to be sent to your cinema or to your local service company. Alternatively you could have your local service company replace the battery which we can also supply.
